Omio, the global platform for booking trains, planes, buses, and ferries, has expanded its Omio Flex service, providing travelers with greater flexibility. In partnership with leading insurtech company Companjon, Omio Flex now allows ticket holders for trains, buses, and ferries to cancel their journeys for any reason up to two hours before departure, receiving up to 80% of the fare.
This service is available in European Economic Area (EEA) countries. Travelers can select Omio Flex during checkout or add it later. If they decide not to travel, cancellations can be made easily through the "Manage Your Booking" page, with compensation paid directly by Omio.
The expansion is driven by Omio’s partnership with Companjon, which serves as the risk carrier, underwriter, and policy manager for the "cancel for any reason" solution. This collaboration integrates Companjon’s advanced technology into Omio's platform, ensuring a seamless user experience.
