TBC Uzbekistan, a leader in Central Asia’s digital banking landscape, has launched its own payments processing centre, marking a significant milestone in the region’s financial infrastructure development. This custom-built facility positions TBC to accelerate the rollout of innovative products and services in Uzbekistan, Central Asia’s most populous market.
Empowering growth through in-house control
By bringing payment processing in-house, TBC Uzbekistan gains full control over its operations, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. This strategic move enables the company to scale its offerings rapidly, catering to the needs of both individuals and businesses. The processing centre supports a broad range of payment methods, including peer-to-peer transfers, card payments, and QR code-enabled transactions.
Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Group operations in Uzbekistan, emphasized the significance of this initiative: “The launch of our in-house payments processing centre underscores our commitment to investing in infrastructure that drives innovation. This milestone empowers us to bring groundbreaking financial solutions to Uzbekistan’s vibrant and dynamic market at an unprecedented pace.”
Leveraging insights for innovation
The facility introduces advanced data analytics capabilities, allowing TBC to gain deeper insights into customer and merchant needs. These insights will fuel the development of new products, such as acquiring solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, the centre will enable the rapid introduction of globally popular payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal once they become available in Uzbekistan.
Supporting a robust payments ecosystem
Beyond strengthening TBC’s ecosystem, which includes TBC Bank Uzbekistan, Payme, and Payme Nasiya, the processing centre will contribute to enhancing the broader payments infrastructure in the country. This milestone reflects TBC’s vision to drive financial innovation and expand access to cutting-edge banking services across Uzbekistan.
