As climate events grow more frequent and severe, traditional insurance approaches are reaching their limits. Claims costs are rising sharply, some regions are becoming harder to insure, and policyholders often lack practical tools to reduce risk. Geoya was created from the belief that a collective, structured, and operational response is necessary to preserve insurability and support policyholders before losses occur.
Geoya operates as a marketplace platform open to all insurers and focused on climate risk prevention. Through practical tools and services, it helps individuals, businesses, and communities improve their resilience to climate threats.
The initiative was developed by Generali France, MAIF, Société Générale Assurances, Saretec, and Sixense. The joint venture’s founding framework was approved and signed by the partners and publicly announced on January 28, 2026. It is now subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities, with operations expected to begin in spring 2026.
Submit your innovative insurance project by March 3, 2026 (inclusive) for the Innovation in Insurance Awards 2026.
