Plant to the Future Qorus Banking Innovation Awards 2021

Sources of carbon emission are the main reason behind global warming and the loss of natural resources. We can reduce our carbon footprints by saving energy and resources or by changing our daily habits. With Plant to the Future, which is a corporate entrepreneurship project, our users can perform some banking transactions, as well as specific daily activities that allows to reduce their carbon footprints. Plant to the Future is created on Isbank’s mobile banking application IsCep where users can track the carbon points they earn. With its user-friendly interface, users can track their carbon points and when these points reach 1.000 they can donate a sapling to TEMA Foundation in their names. We have implemented Plant to the Future in order to increase environmental awareness, reduce our carbon footprints and contribute concretely to the creation of a sustainable world. We measure the performance of this project, which we have implemented with our human-oriented technology approach and environmental awareness, without expecting any financial return, with the Carbon Points collected and also the number of saplings planted. Since its launch on August 19 more than 37.000 have onboarded and more than 4.5 million carbon points have been collected in Plant to the Future. Also the number of saplings planted has reached 5.000.
