Bankee is a national educational program that aims to plug a gap in the current educational systems through instilling financial literacy concepts and values in the new generation of students in Kuwait. Unlike conventional educational programs, Bankee is an experiential and interactive program that teaches students through simulating real-world economy in the classroom. I.e, each participating school constitutes an economy, with its own virtual bank, and store. Bankee is a comprehensive program in that it simulates all main aspects of an economy, such as earning, saving, and spending money, and versatile in that it fits in and adapts to each school’s particularity. Bankee introduces a system in which students earn digital funds by upholding their responsibilities and duties within the classroom and school setting. At Bankee, teachers and schools are our program champions, driving financial literacy success on the ground. With real-life simulations, teachers empower students to become financially savvy, setting them on a path to lifelong financial responsibility.
