1. First cross-generational power walking event in Taiwan to be held for 12 consecutive years, promoting public health and well-being (SDG 3) An aging society brings challenges, but also increases opportunities for cross-generational families to live together and interact with each other. Since 2012, Taiwan Life has held the Three-Generation Power Walk for 12 consecutive years. The event relies on family support to help people of all ages focus more heavily on self-health management, while also serving as a day for family reunion for many. The COVID-19 pandemic meant that many were unable to leave their homes for exercise. Through hosting offline to online (O2O) community events, we aimed to promote cross-generational health. 11 million people in total have participated in the power walk across the past 12 years, leaving their tracks all over Taiwan. More than 400,000 kilometers have been covered in total, equivalent to circling Taiwan 362 times.

2. Take in historical sites and art museum parks while power walking, creating sustainable cities and communities together with local residents (SDG 11) Power walks have been held at Taichung Park and the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts Art Ecological Park. By introducing the public to the rich natural surroundings, art pieces, and historical sites on display at these parks, the power walk helped them better understand the beauty of these ecological environments and art pieces, creating a space where art, health, and environmental protection can mutually exist. More than 800 people participated in these power walks.

3. Ensure responsible consumption and production patterns in line with net zero carbon emission goals and waste recycling efforts (SDG 12) In line with global goals to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, the power walk is held each year in locations within walking distance of public transport stations in order to reduce carbon emissions. The event was also the first to recycle products used for the event. Recycled materials were used to produce 200 backpacks, breathing new life into these waste products.

4. Power walks at the zoo draw attention to land habitats (SDG 15) In a cross-industry collaboration with the world's largest nature documentary channel, Animal Planet, we held a power walk at the Taipei Zoo, where we challenged participants to tests of animal knowledge. Through this event, we educated the public on ecological restoration, habitat building, and animal conservation, conveying environmental and ecological sustainability principles on protecting biodiversity and teaching people how they can support these efforts through making small lifestyle changes. The event drew more than 20,000 online and offline participants in total.

5. Cross-border and cross-industry stakeholder participation to build diverse partnerships (SDG 17) To promote elderly self-health management, we integrated our group’s charity resources and incorporated sports stars into our efforts, encouraging sports fans to participate in power walks through the influence of these stars. We have joined hands with external health management experts and social welfare organizations to protect the community engagement rights of elderly disadvantaged groups. At the same time, we have earned the recognition of various county and city government agencies and the public, who have actively helped us direct traffic and provide event venues. Together, we have worked together to promote health.
