MetLife’s innovation is guided by its purpose: Always with you, building a more confident future — by meeting customers how, when, and where they want to be met. An innovation which illustrates that vision is MetLife's 360Health. The solution was created in response to insights gathered from 30,000 consumers who were worried about the burden a serious illness or disease would bring upon them and their families. Launched in 2018 and developed in-house along with several leading health-techs, 360Health was designed to cover the five key aspects of managing critical illnesses (known as the Care Pathway,) offering comprehensive solutions focused on prevention, early diagnosis, access to treatment, ongoing care and financial protection. Now scaled across six markets with the latest solution launched in 2023, 360Health services are available to customers via digital platforms and an app that provides access to an ecosystem of services.
360Health was created to help customers take an active role in managing their health and wellbeing, so they can live longer, healthier lives. The solution goes beyond traditional insurance products to not only provide financial protection resources, but also offer our customers a holistic approach to managing critical illness. The 360Health mobile app allows our customers to book physical appointments, speak to a general practitioner or specialist online, receive fitness & nutrition recommendations and build their understanding of managing their health. Customers can also link their wearable devices and phone to track their health status, leverage analytics & AI for health predictions.
With rising incidences of critical illnesses, chronic diseases, and growing healthcare costs, accessibility to quality medical services has become a significant challenge for many. Recognizing this, MetLife developed the 360Health app to make a real difference in people's lives. With 360Health, MetLife’s aim has been to democratize access to health solutions, especially those that can be provided digitally. We are constantly working on improving digital products and services based on local market and customer needs. This includes some of the latest solutions leveraging AI – such as face scanning to provide health vitals (such as blood pressure, heart rate, etc.), early critical illness detection and food scanning for nutrition recommendations.
