Do you know how your succession will be managed when you die? Have you ever talked to your loved ones about it? Which insurer to contact? What capital can I claim? We are all confronted with deaths in our surroundings. And what a difficulty it is to manage the papers at the time of death. Emotion takes hold of us, often leaving us with a treasure hunt to find the life insurance policies of the deceased loved one. Very often, the heirs are unaware that the deceased could have held life insurance policies, securities accounts, shares, real estate investments, funeral insurance, a provident contract, and this with multiple insurers. The difficult task falls to the relatives to search through the deceased's papers, reviving the pain of the loss of a loved one.
The aim of the project is to create an application that allows you to declare all your insurance contracts, including Generali contracts, to a trusted relative during your lifetime. At the time of death, this trusted relative will receive the list of contracts held by the deceased, as well as the names of the insurance or banking institutions to contact. This service is not intended to manage beneficiary clauses. The trusted relative (not necessarily an heir) can be contacted by a specialised Generali Wealth Management Advisor in order to guide them in terms of tax and estate optimisation. He will be able to provide the best advice to the trusted relative or heirs. The objective is to support the future client by optimising the investments he has inherited. This business will recreate value, and therefore a virtuous circle.
In addition to the sale of a life insurance policy from generali, we would offer this service as an inclusion allowing the addition of other insurance policies held. This service would allow the insured to declare one or 2 trusted persons. These trusted persons would not necessarily be the beneficiaries, but someone who would be able to manage the administrative aspect of the estate at the time of death. This application would ask the insured person each year to identify themselves and validate all this information. Trusted relatives will have to notify the application of the death of the insured.
No market player offers this service. Death remains a taboo subject that must be cleared up with the heirs at an emotionally complicated time. Only the Eckert law relating to inactive bank accounts and dormant life insurance policies exists in France. But it is up to the insurer to look after the beneficiary. We offer to support the client from the process of selling a contract on the inheritance aspect to prevent his contracts from ending up in escheat. Let's start the "Insurance Generation for Life" service now!
