The Aksigorta Underwriting Excellence Project was launched as a transformative initiative to modernize and optimize the traditionally time-consuming, repetitive, and semi-manual processes within the Agency and Underwriting (UW) teams. The core objective was to create digitized, structured, and fully trackable workflows, improving transparency, efficiency, and operational control. By automating key processes, implementing intuitive request management interfaces, and redesigning policy entry systems, the project aimed to eliminate inefficiencies, minimize manual efforts, and enhance overall time management. A major focus of the initiative was to empower business units with advanced digital capabilities, granting them greater autonomy in managing and optimizing workflows. A key breakthrough was leveraging Digital Twin technology, which enabled the real-time simulation and analysis of underwriting processes. This allowed teams to identify inefficiencies, predict risks, and refine operational efficiencies with unparalleled accuracy, ensuring smarter and more data-driven decision-making. To further drive digital transformation, the project applied Process Mining and real-time performance tracking to introduce quantifiable KPIs and predictive analytics, offering end-to-end visibility into underwriting and authorization cycles. This empowered business teams to detect inefficiencies, pinpoint process bottlenecks, and proactively implement optimizations before they could impact operations. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and automation-driven workflows further strengthened these enhancements, streamlining decision-making, reducing manual interventions, and expediting processes. As a result, the project significantly improved operational efficiency and enabled preemptive interventions to mitigate underwriting risks, optimize decision workflows, and enhance end-to-end process efficiency. The impact of the Aksigorta Underwriting Excellence Project was clearly measurable: - 45% reduction in agent reliance on underwriting teams - 41% increase in agent satisfaction - 700K RPA transactions successfully processed With these quantifiable results in place, the project went beyond simple automation and embraced long-term process optimization strategies. Digital Twin dashboards were used to provide real-time visual reporting, while RPA technology was applied to automatically append manually generated reports to requests, eliminating delays and ensuring data consistency. By utilizing Process Mining and Digital Twins, the initiative introduced sophisticated forecasting models, enabling proactive decision-making and scenario-based strategic planning. This reinforced data-driven decision-making frameworks, strengthened strategic planning efforts, and created opportunities for continuous process optimization. Ultimately, the Aksigorta Underwriting Excellence Project provided business units with a centralized digital command center, ensuring full visibility and control over operational cycles. By modernizing operations, enhancing agent satisfaction, and sharpening the company’s competitive edge, this initiative positioned Aksigorta as an industry groundbreaker in innovation, efficiency, and strategic foresight.
