Innovation presentation

Bank of Georgia Ads Manager is a first-of-its-kind, in-house developed digital advertising platform embedded within the bank’s mobile and internet banking channels, empowering businesses—especially SMEs—to launch hyper-targeted, data-driven campaigns to over 1.5 million active users. Born from the need to offer a simpler, more effective alternative to global ad platforms like Google and Meta, it leverages the bank’s unique advantage: deep customer insights, verified identities, and daily digital engagement. Unlike generic tools, Ads Manager enables businesses to promote compelling offers—such as cashback, loyalty points, or discounts—directly within a trusted digital banking environment. The platform includes three core modules: a self-service analytics tool that allows merchants to explore transaction data and customer segments behind their POS activity; a campaign builder dashboard inspired by familiar social media ad tools for creating and scheduling offers; and a performance analytics module to track campaign reach, engagement, and conversions in real time. What's most important, we use our AI models to target the "Ads" through our digital channels based on the transactional data around each customer, through our Recommender Engine, to make sure user experience is personalized in digital banking channels. Inspired by global ad tech models but localized for the banking ecosystem, the product was shaped through collaboration across digital product, data analytics, marketing, compliance, and SME relationship teams. As of today, over 500 businesses have run over 1,000 performance-based campaigns through the platform, achieving conversion rates significantly higher than external platforms and establishing a new monetization stream for the bank—while maintaining high user trust. With no regional equivalent, the Ads Manager has positioned the Bank of Georgia as a pioneer in transforming digital banking infrastructure into an intelligent, customer-first marketing engine.
