Concept and Objectives Innovative enhancements were implemented in our mobile banking application to enable users to access Overdraft and Installment Overdraft products in a faster and more integrated way. The goal was to shorten transaction times, allow simultaneous product usage, and improve the overall user experience. ________________________________________ Reasons Behind and Sources of Inspiration The project was inspired by increasing customer demand for faster and more seamless digital transactions, as well as the need to enable cross-product usage. The growing digital expectations of retail banking users further motivated the development of this integration. ________________________________________ State of Competition While many banks offer these products separately, VakıfBank became the first in the sector to integrate Overdraft and Installment Overdraft functionalities in a fully unified experience, allowing parallel transactions and enhancing customer convenience. ________________________________________ Departments Involved • Retail Banking Marketing Department (project owner and main decision-maker overseeing the entire process) • Retail Loans Department • Digital Banking Department • Information Technology teams ________________________________________ Main Results So Far Qualitative Metrics: • Enhanced user experience • Higher customer satisfaction • A pioneering digital model in the sector Quantitative Metrics: • Transaction time for Installment Overdraft reduced to under 30 seconds (as low as 12 seconds in some cases) • Over 100% growth in Overdraft limit allocation and increase transactions • Significant increase in product utilization rates
