Our People pillar integrates two mutually reinforcing dimensions: 1. Corporate volunteering and social impact, enabling our workforce to support vulnerable groups, youth employability, environmental restoration and health related causes. 2. Employee care, inclusion and well being, ensuring that Sabadell Seguros y Pensiones is a healthy, equitable and engaging place to work.
People are central to our purpose “Estar para Cuidar”. We aim to activate our employees as a force for good while providing them with the right conditions to grow, feel supported, and live healthier, more balanced lives. While many companies run volunteering programmes or workplace well being initiatives, few integrate both into a holistic people centred sustainability strategy that links employee purpose, social contribution and organisational culture. Our model draws from the expectations of our stakeholders, employees, and the social challenges identified in Spain, especially youth unemployment, diversity and inclusion, and environmental degradation. It also aligns with the company’s purpose, and the collaborative mindset promoted by the Z Zurich Foundation. Departments involved Sustainability, Human Resources, Internal Communications, the Wellness Team (volunteers), the volunteer team (volunteers) and other participants in volunteering, mentoring and community engagement activities. Main results so far • 2,837 hours of volunteering in 2024, supporting social, environmental and health related causes, and more than 4,000 hours in 2025, an absolute record for the organisation. • Strong partnerships with organisations such as El Llindar (since 2023), Xarxa per a la Conservació de la Natura (since 2022) or B-Value (since 2023). • Achievement of WELL Gold Certification for our Torre BCN offices, recognising excellence in workplace health and well being. • A renewed suite of benefits, hybrid working model, mental health support and a new recognition programme.
