Concept and Objectives
Auto claims are becoming more complex. Vehicle technology is advancing, repair severity is rising and skilled labor remains constrained. Yet the claims process still hinges on a manual bottleneck - estimate creation and review. CCC focused on that constraint. The goal was to deliver earlier visibility into severity, reduce intake delays and make review more targeted - without disrupting existing workflows or removing professional judgment.
Two capabilities launched in 2025:
CCC® Mobile Jumpstart
Generates a preliminary, line-level estimate from vehicle photos in roughly two minutes, typically capturing about 80% of the final estimate value. Insurers gain earlier reserve insight; repairers accelerate intake.CCC® Intelligent Reinspection
Uses AI and insurer-defined rules to identify which estimates warrant deeper review. Adjusters focus on higher-risk submissions rather than reinspecting broadly.
Both operate inside the CCC Intelligent Experience (IX) Cloud™ and activate during real claim events.
Reasons Behind
Estimate writing and review determine how quickly a claim progresses. Delays at intake ripple across reserving, routing and repair cycle time. Rather than building standalone analytics tools, CCC integrated intelligence directly into production systems used daily by insurers and repair facilities. The objective was practical - reduce friction at scale.
State of Competition
Many AI solutions in insurance sit outside operational systems. CCC’s approach embeds intelligence inside the workflow itself. With more than 100 insurers and 16,000 repair facilities connected, and over 300 proprietary AI models trained on decades of claims data, CCC operates at production scale across the ecosystem.
Main Results
More than 1 million estimates generated using Mobile Jumpstart in 2025
Intake estimate creation reduced from 30-45 minutes to about two minutes
Early estimates typically capture approximately 80% of final value
Earlier severity insight improves reserving accuracy
Reduced estimate volatility and supplement frequency
More targeted adjuster deployment through Intelligent Reinspection
Increased repair throughput without adding staff
