About the Awards

The Qorus Reinvention Awards - MEA put the spotlight on the institutions ‒ and the people behind them ‒ that are innovating at scale to shape the future of financial services in the region.

To be considered for the Qorus Reinvention Awards, you would need to have made a submission/s into the Qorus Banking Innovation Awards or the Qorus Innovation in Insurance Awards. Your entry will then be evaluated against your regional peers based on the results of those voting and judging processes. Submit for the next edition!

How we assess our innovations

An innovation committee shortlists the best innovation in each category based on 4 criteria:

Originality: The uniqueness of the idea in the marketplace and its potential as a gamechanger.

Impact: The innovation’s capacity to generate a superior, long-term competitive edge. This includes KPIs such as RoI, NPS, cost reduction, churn rate, employee engagement score, customer lifetime value (CLV), time reduction, carbon footprint, etc.

Universality: The innovation’s potential to be relevant and/or adapted for use in other markets, or even industries.

Form quality: A detailed description of the project in its various phases, its results, and the addition of presentation slides, videos or images to visualize and better understand the project.

The focus is on leveraging digital innovation to enhance corporate clients’ operational efficiency and experience.

Distribution

The Distribution category celebrates financial institutions that have pioneered innovative practices, reimagining distribution in response to changing customer expectations, encompassing new delivery channels, branch transformation, multi-channel integration, mobile banking, and scalable end-to-end value propositions leveraging partnerships, platforms, and the Internet of Things.

Customer Experience

The Customer Experience category celebrates financial institutions that have made significant enhancements in their marketing, sales, distribution, and their management of customer channels, communications, engagement, and relationships.

Operations & Workforce Transformation

This category honors banks that have successfully improved processes and operations to enable profitable growth. It recognizes initiatives that scale efficiency, driving revenue and asset growth faster than overhead costs. The category also celebrates transformative projects that empower the workforce and enhance employee capabilities.

ESG

The ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) category applauds financial institutions for their innovations that demonstrate how they have seamlessly embedded sustainability and ESG principles into their value chains.

Insurance

This category recognizes insurers that are driving innovation across their business. It highlights initiatives that transform the way they operate and serve their clients or employees. The focus is on encouraging forward-thinking approaches and impactful change within the organization.

Regional Transformative Innovator of the Year

The winner is a bank that has successfully executed a best-in-class transformation approach to create and deliver tangible value. Its corporate vision reflects a commitment to continuous innovation and a journey of digital transformation, ensuring the organization remains relevant, agile, and capable of adapting to an ever-evolving business landscape.
