Patrick Lehner is the Head of Everyday Banking at Credit Suisse. We caught up with him about their Viva Kids offering and all that it entails.
What are the results of Viva Kids / Digipigipi since its launch?
Roughly 30,000 families have opened a Viva Kids banking package, “adopted” a Digipigi moneybox in their household, downloaded the Digipigi apps, used the Digipigi debit cards, and learned about money in a playful way with the Viva Kids World. 2/3 of users are new clients and the rest are existing clients. The offering has received significant international financial services press coverage and awards since its launch.
Can you tell me about the users' behavior? How often do they use the apps? How much money on average do they manage?
The kids enjoy managing their money. This means checking their account balance of virtual money and physical money. They can count their physical money with the help of the Digipigi Kids app.
Additionally, the savings goal is quite popular for setting up, tracking, and marking a savings goal as reached. Naturally, parents use the app mostly for pocket money management. Users manage on average between CHF 1-3k on their accounts.
