Intesa Sanpaolo, Homepal, and BPER Bank form a strategic and commercial partnership creating a real estate operator that will aim to enhance and develop activities in real estate.
More specifically, a new concept of real estate agency is born from the partnership: it will operate throughout the Italian market, strengthened by the complementarity of the service models of Intesa Sanpaolo Casa and Homepal and, leveraging the networks of Intesa Sanpaolo and BPER, will satisfy customers in buying and selling real estate by focusing on:
• strong technological component
• physical presence in major cities
• experience of its agents
The new company will also be open to collaboration with other networks and banks and will be the first "Open Proptech Platform" in the Italian market.
The new structure will be able to count on an initial sales network of more than 60 people, with the goal of becoming a leading operator in the real estate sector.
Intesa Sanpaolo will have 49 percent of the new company, 34 percent will be held by Homepal's current shareholders, and 17 percent by BPER. It will be headed by Andrea Lacalamita, former president of Homepal.
The initial investment by Intesa Sanpaolo and BPER Bank will total €15 million to enhance services and communication.
