Innovation presentation

fizzy is a blockchain-based parametric flight delay insurance. But it's above all focused on customer experience! Whether it's the transparency of the blockchain (opposable proof & automation), its no-exclusion principle or the hassle-free compensation process, fizzy offers a glimpse of what the future of insurance will be: accurately tailored to the customer's need, transparent, automated. Notably inspired by new sets of regulation protecting air travellers, it stands as the only insurance product using a public blockchain and backed by a traditional insurer. This was made possible thanks to the collaborative effort of a wide variety of actors at AXA. The most prominent two being the innovation center and of course AXA Global Parametrics (AGP), an entity specializing in data science and actuary. After a successful MVP launch in September 2017, fizzy focuses its efforts on industrialization, especially to develop our B2B2C offer. We are getting ready to release a new version (including a new user interface), paving the way to a more efficient and comprehensive flight delay insurance product, but that’s not all! The fizzy application has been developed with state of the art technologies (API oriented, Micro-Services, Dockerized, ….) making it particularly robust and versatile. Our goal is double: penetrating the market of the flight delay insurance, as well as developing a set of new parametric products on the long run, thanks to the platform we developed.
