Fraud is an ever-present concern for banking customers. Money Protect, an innovative insurance offering, allows the Bank to provide pre-defined limits of cover for specific fraud types to FNB and RMB banked customers. Money Protect also provides the Bank with an instrument to manage customer behavior and is available to the retail and commercial customer base. The cover is embedded for the customer and part of the same process used to notify the Bank of fraud being committed. There is no need to log a separate claim. FNB Short Term Insurance also make use of re-insurance for Money Protect, thus allowing insurance techniques/principles to be implemented with a core banking service.
