Currently, Risk Engineers visit our clients’ locations to perform risk inspections and subsequently prepare a Recommendations Report for the client. This process presents two main challenges:
1.- Training Costs: Training these Risk Engineers involves Senior Engineers accompanying Junior Engineers to client locations to provide on-site training, which incurs significant time and financial costs.
2.- Client Engagement: Clients receive a paper report with recommendations post-inspection, but they do not always recognize the benefits of investing in improving their prevention and protection systems. Our recommendations report lacks the impact needed to effectively raise awareness.
The project involves constructing a virtual standard factory in extended reality, encompassing typical areas we insure: production, storage, technical rooms, and auxiliary areas. Within this virtual factory, we can create unlimited specific immersive training sessions, enhancing our Insurance Office’s risk selection capabilities. Additionally, the project includes simulating possible claims.
Case 1 Training Efficiency: Train Risk Engineers, Underwriters, and Claims Handlers remotely and immersively, focusing on industry-specific analyses without the need for global travel. Reducing traveling costs and improving technical knowledge.
Case 2 Client Awareness: Provide clients with immersive, realistic, and personalized demonstrations of potential losses and their consequences, enhancing their understanding and commitment to risk prevention and protection measures. Improving its facilities and therefore reducing the consequences of potential claims. This will ultimately improve our company's operating results.
With the support of innovations funds, we develop the PoC. These POC have two parts: - Use case 1: Training in a virtual fire pump room. Using Meta Quest 3 - Use case 2: A simulation of a fire caused by welding work. Using Apple Vision Pro, they were able to immerse themselves in the project’s capabilities.
This POC has been present to different clients and both of then give us a great feedback : - Top Management of GC&C (internal customer): potential in the idea to train all the Loss Prevention Engineers around the world and consequently have a better control of our risks which will improve our technical result. - GC&C’s top clients in Spain, Risk Managers from 25 major companies attended: the idea as an innovative way of prevention and awareness for them.
