At work with Yolande Piazza

Yolande Piazza, CEO at Citi FinTech, told Efma’s Boris Plantier how she got where she is today, and why it’s such a great place to be.

Please tell us a little bit about your background.

I’ve spent my career in different roles at Citi, including serving as chief administrative officer for Global Consumer Banking Operations & Technology for seven years, developing, implementing and managing a number of transformation initiatives to improve results and cost efficiency.

I moved from that role to Citi FinTech, the group charged with ensuring that Citi’s Global Consumer Bank not only rapidly adapts to – but also shapes – the evolving landscape. I initially was the chief operating officer and today I’m Citi FinTech’s CEO. I lead a team of product managers, developers, designers, and strategists that partner with Citi’s business lines to solve strategic problems by applying a customer-first mindset. Through our Open Banking and Canvas platforms, we’re accelerating the design and delivery of new mobile solutions to address industry disruption and evolving client behaviors.
