What led to the creation of SO-SURE?
I was a private equity investor for a decade and for the latter part focused on insurance. I was astounded by the chasm between margins across the industry and the consumer experience of insurance. Five years after the global financial crisis, insurers were less trusted than banks, which had been blamed for the crisis in the first place! I looked for companies that I could back, which were addressing this problem of customer experience in the industry. I found nobody trying to solve the lack of consumer trust in insurance, so I decided to do it myself.

We have redesigned the insurance value chain to be consumer-centric. In doing so, we address the core issues of insurance: fraud, consumer-centricity, and alignment of incentives.
