Here is a selection of news about the financial products and services offered by insurance players in France. A ‘Tour de France’ through the City of Paris with VYV Group and Wakam, Crédit Agricole Assurances, Société Générale Assurances and Allianz France.

Paris launches a low-cost home insurance offer

In order to give back purchasing power to Parisians in difficulty, the city of Paris, in partnership with the VYV group and Wakam, has launched a home insurance policy for low-income tenants who cannot afford a home insurance policy and are thus living under the threat of eviction. This single-price contract, regardless of the housing situation, will be available to approximately 400,000 households. It will allow them to save between €50 and 250 per year.

In a similar approach, the Habitat Réuni group, which manages social housing in various regions of France, has teamed up with Altima Assurances to offer home insurance at a controlled cost. Some 178,000 tenants will be eligible for this offer.

Crédit Agricole Assurances launches home insurance for young people at €6 a month

Available to all young people under 31, this home insurance policy covers their first homes (up to two rooms). This offer, which contains the essential guarantees, is available online and in Crédit Agricole branches. An additional option to cover theft is offered at €3 per month.

KRYS Group and Société Générale Assurances launch an innovative optical insurance

KRYS Group, France's leading optical company, Société Générale Assurances and SPB, a specialist in affinity insurance, have launched an innovative customer-focused offer. Krys stores offer a global solution – including the sale of optical equipment or sunglasses coupled with an insurance guarantee covering breakage, theft and loss at an attractive rate. The subscription to the optical insurance is integrated in the purchase process and includes the electronic signature. To complete the system, and as long as the customer has not reported any claims under the insurance coverage, he or she recovers all the contributions paid after 24 months, in the form of a purchase voucher offered by KRYS.
