Kristy Duncan founded Women in Payments – now the largest global network of women in the payments industry – in 2012 off the side of her desk. Seven years and twenty symposiums in Canada, USA, UK, Australia, and Singapore, later, Kristy tells EFMA’s Boris Plantier it’s all about #networking.
Tell me a little about your background.
My career path has been somewhat circuitous. I have an engineering degree, 10 years' experience at a major bank in Canada, 10 years consulting in the payments market, and I've been running Women in Payments for eight years now. I grew up on a small hobby farm outside Toronto and try to escape the city whenever I can.
