Barclays opens new innovation hub in London with Microsoft and NVIDIA

The facility will house up to 150 startups and provide access to a wide network of events, growth programs, and collaborative opportunities. Barclays’ innovation banking specialists will also be based on-site, offering tailored support and funding guidance for early-stage businesses.

Collaboration across industry leaders

Core partners involved in the Hub’s development include Conception X, Databricks, Innovate Finance, and Twin Path Ventures, alongside Microsoft and NVIDIA. These organizations will not only contribute expertise but also play an active role in shaping the space and its evolving support model.

Hannah Bernard, Head of Business Banking at Barclays, emphasized the importance of industry collaboration: “The UK’s innovation ecosystem is one of the best in the world, but we can’t afford to rest on our laurels.” She highlighted the need for continued support for emerging entrepreneurs.

Building long-term support for the innovation economy

Microsoft and NVIDIA underscored the Hub’s potential to strengthen the UK’s position in AI development. “The Barclays Innovation Hub will form a critical focal point for the next wave of innovators,” said Microsoft’s Ali Wright, while NVIDIA’s Anthony Hills described it as a “vital catalyst” for upskilling and scaling.

The new facility complements Barclays’ existing Eagle Labs network, which includes 43 locations across the UK and has supported more than 17,000 businesses since its inception.
