Qorus unveils 2026 Asia-Pacific Reinvention Awards winners in Kuala Lumpur

Qorus announced the winners of the third edition of the Qorus Reinvention Awards – Asia Pacific (APAC) during an in-person ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on 28 April.
These regional awards shine a spotlight on the best ideas and practices transforming the financial services industry across Asia-Pacific. They are a spin-off of Qorus’s long-running Banking Innovation Awards and Innovation in Insurance Awards, which collectively attracted more than 500 entries in their 2025 editions. Applicants to both programs can also qualify for recognition on a regional stage.

The winners of the Qorus Reinvention Awards – APAC 2026 are:
• Maybank (Malaysia) – Regional Innovator of the Year – APAC 2026
Maybank has been named APAC regional innovator of the year for the success of its digital transformation that expanded financial inclusion, strengthened cybersecurity, and promoted customer trust. Key initiatives in the transformation include the roll-out of the bank’s Goal-Based Investing platform, which broadened client access to investments, and the introduction of the Money Lock feature that protects savings accounts from unauthorized access. Maybank’s workforce culture of agility and innovation was instrumental in the success of the transformation. (Learn more)
• Muang Thai Life Assurance (Thailand) took home the Insurance Gold Award for its Chompoo chatbot.
Silver and Bronze went to Bajaj General Insurance (India) for the Svadhyaya digital training platform and Manulife (Vietnam) for the M-PS Manulife Promoter System, respectively.
• Maybank (Malaysia) won Gold in the Business Banking category with Bank Feed.
Silver and Bronze went to Bank Central Asia (Indonesia) for Ocean by BCA and Bank Negara Indonesia for the BNI Digital Services Portal, respectively.
• Trust took Gold in the Customer Experience category for its exceptional customer experience.
Silver and Bronze went to HNB (Sri Lanka) for Automated Onboarding at Branches and Taiwan Business Bank for its senior-friendly app, respectively.
• Pan Asia Bank (Sri Lanka) won Gold in the Operations & Workforce Transformation category for the FalconEye digital platform. Silver and Bronze went to DBS (Singapore) for its Centralized AI platform and PNB (India) for its e-OTS settlement platform, respectively.
• OCBC (Singapore) won Gold in the ESG category with Sustainability Hub by OCBC.
Silver and Bronze went to Kasikornbank (Thailand) for its Green Home Loan and Taipei Fubon Bank (Taiwan) for Warm-Link, respectively.
• Boost Bank (Malaysia) went gold in the Distribution category with the Boost eWallet platform. Silver and Bronze went to Taipei Fubon Bank (Taiwan) for the Fubon+ APP project and Bank Simpanan Nasional (Malaysia) for Inclusive mobile banking, respectively.
