Innovation presentation
This innovation addresses a key market gap—making sustainable living more accessible without compromising affordability. It accelerates the adoption of energy-efficient homes, provides inclusive financing, and supports national decarbonization goals through the real estate sector.
Rooted in a long-standing sustainability commitment, the solution reflects internal practices such as energy-efficient infrastructure, clean energy use, and EV deployment. Externally, initiatives like the GREEN ZERO loan and the “GO GREEN Together” campaign actively support the creation of a connected green ecosystem—translating environmental responsibility into scalable, customer-centric financial innovation.
In terms of market landscape, this represents the first structured effort in Thailand to embed certified environmental standards into retail mortgage underwriting. While conventional housing loans are widely available, no other product at the time combined formal sustainability criteria, a broad network of certified developers, and dedicated customer education initiatives under one cohesive model.
Cross-functional collaboration was key to implementation—spanning home loan product teams, ESG strategy and sustainability units, marketing, and data analytics functions. This coordination enabled efficient rollout and continuous enhancement using behavioral insights and advanced analytics.
The initiative has resulted in over 800 certified housing projects, THB 7.3 billion in disbursed loans in 2024 alone, a 32% increase in application volume, and a growing share of green mortgages now comprising 19% of the total housing loan portfolio.
