Emmanuel Djengue’s passion for life is plain to see. As well as having real passion for his work, the innovation director for Europe at RGAX EMEA has a love for travel – and not forgetting his mum’s grilled fish and fried plantians. He tells Efma’s Boris Plantier more.
Please tell me a little about your background.
I started my career at LIMRA as a marketing manager for the EMEA region. It was such an enjoyable job, getting to travel and meet with clients from Slovakia to Azerbaijan, and helping support them in building stronger distribution networks. After two years, I worked as innovation and marketing director of INESE, a Spanish insurance-focused media company that provides services to Spain and Latin America.
Today, I enjoy being part of the team for RGAX EMEA, the transformation unit and subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America (RGA). I work closely with life insurers, distributors, fintech companies and digital health startups to help develop a range of innovative life and health insurance propositions. These can include a wide range of solutions, from digital distribution applications to consumer engagement tools and innovation-as-a-service.
In my free time, I am an active member of Global Shapers, a community from the world economic forum and am vice president of the Association of Young Insurance Professionals in Spain.
