Marie Chambron, executive vice president of Insurance and Partners at French mobile insurance firm Valoo, tells Efma’s Boris Plantier about her working life.

 

Tell me a little about your background.

After some internship experiences in blue chip French companies with a focus on marketing or project management, I decided to specialize in entrepreneurship. Indeed, I wanted to be closer to business innovation and to have a strong personal impact on the strategy of the company I was working at. That’s why, just after graduating, I joined a French startup called Valoo – formerly CBien – three months after its foundation at the end of 2013.

I had the chance to build the product with the team from the beginning. I also participated in the business development of the company and, after our first fundraiser from major French insurance companies, I became in charge of developing the insurance business.
