Customers’ habits and attitudes are evolving: overloaded by an increasing amount of information, they look for products responding to their specific needs in a simple and fast way. Insurers partially understand this situation: traditional companies offer products focused on one vertical need or wider solutions covering different needs in a fixed way (no customization available). New competitors (e.g. bancassurance players) offer simpler and cheaper products with limited coverages. This is why Generali Italia designed and developed Immagina Adesso, our innovative solution to: - Match different families’ needs with a single policy contract (Home, Liability, Accident, Health, Pets) - Give customers a simple omnichannel experience through fully digital processes - Extend traditional insurance areas through technology services (connected home and pet, health and digital security services via app) - Evolve with customers as a lifetime partner answering to new needs at different moments in life, maintaining the same policy number and simplifying administrative processes - Be competitive not only versus complete solutions for demanding and high spending customers but also versus entry-level solutions for low spending ones. The project involved several corporate functions (Marketing, Insurance teams from the different lines of business, CX/UX, IT, Sales and others) and has turned out to be a real success (below the main results as of March 2020): - ~20K policies issued, 7,1 M€ premiums collected from launch (November 2019) - +16% average premium of the new policies vs. former product (+36% on renewal) - 66% customers buy multi-needs solution (on average, 1,8 modules per contract) - +13 p.p. policies with monthly instalment, 13 p.p. multi-year policies (strengthening customers relationship) - Fast adoption (~80% agencies have issued at least 1 policy, ~30% sell Immagina Adesso more than former product)
