Igloo.co.id is Igloo’s first direct-to-consumer platform launched in Indonesia, offering a seamless and transparent way for consumers to discover, compare, and buy insurance products from leading providers such as Zurich, Sompo, SinarMas, and Oona. The platform addresses unmet needs in Indonesia’s insurance market, where penetration remains low at 2.7%. By offering affordable, lifestyle-oriented microinsurance products with clear coverage details, Igloo aims to shift perceptions of insurance from a burden to a necessity. The platform provides users with intuitive tools like Fast Quotes, Buy-Now-Upload-Later, and Claims Support, making it easier for Indonesia's young, tech-savvy population to embrace insurance. The project has been fueled by Igloo's strong network, extensive expertise, and a clear objective to deepen insurance penetration and enhance inclusion. Following the success of Igloo’s B2B2C and business-to-agent models, Igloo.co.id leverages data, technology, and personalized microinsurance options to provide affordable and accessible coverage. The platform’s innovation lies in addressing the challenges of Indonesia's low insurance literacy, offering a simplified, empathetic experience that builds trust among consumers. Over the past 12 months, the platform has shown remarkable growth, achieving a 10x increase in policies sold, a 13x increase in Gross Written Premiums, and a 50% reduction in customer acquisition costs. for 11 seconds Igloo’s new direct-to-consumer platform, igloo.co.id, is an award-winning insurtech innovation designed to simplify how Indonesians discover, compare, and purchase tailored microinsurance. Launched as our first B2C initiative, the platform builds on the success of our embedded insurance and business-to-agent models, addressing the country’s low 2.7% insurance penetration.
