The new investment service, accessible in UBB Mobile since the autumn of 2024, has quickly managed to attract nearly 10 000 customers, as 45% of them encounter an investment product for the first time. The reason being the easy product mechanism and the possibility to apply for it through the app in a fully digital way. The service is suitable for customers who have no previous investment experience and does not require an initial sum available, nor specific knowledge. And there is more to that – with InResto consumption and investments do not contradict each other, nor are mutually exclusive. Exactly the opposite, all customers need to do is pay for their purchases with their debit cards, to their current account with an activated InResto service. The value of each purchase is being rounded up to the next larger integer, while the remaining sum is being automatically set aside for InResto purposes. When the accumulated sum reaches BGN 10, it is being invested in a mutual fund. InResto serves as an incentive for payments with debit cards, including those added to a digital wallet, and marks the beginning of the investment journey for customers, having no experience with this more specific and often considered elitist group of products. There is a possibility to multiply the allocated funds by 2, 3 or even 5 times by activating the "Turbo" function. In this way, more funds are allocated and the amount to be invested increases. The investment in the fund can be monitored at any time in UBB Mobile, as well as changing the parameters of InResto - card, current account or to temporarily or completely stop the service. The service is designed for a broad group of customers over the age of 18 who receive regular account receipts, use and make frequent debit card payments, and have an affinity for investment products. However, this does not exhaust the target audience of the service. Its main mission is to promote investing as a financial service and to make it accessible to everyone, so we can say that InResto enables as large a group of people as possible to immerse themselves in the world of investing and to do it all without large sums of money, without special knowledge and without effort and time wasting - entirely digitally.
