Innovation presentation

Wenia is a financial services platform based on blockchain technology, developed by Bancolombia. It allows users to securely buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies with institutional support, facilitating access to the crypto ecosystem from a regulated banking environment. In 2024, we created Wenia, the new Bancolombia Group company that leverages blockchain technology and acts as a bridge between traditional finance and the digital assets of the future. Wenia allows people to explore the crypto world in an easy, reliable, and secure way. COPW is our stablecoin, pegged 1:1 to the Colombian currency. Therefore, the amount of COPW assets in a customer's Wenia account is equivalent to the same value in Colombian currencies. Wenia offers various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, USDC, MATIC, and our stablecoin COPW. Five types of transactions are currently available: Once the customer downloads the app and completes their registration, they can purchase COPW using Bancolombia accounts or debit or credit cards from MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Another way to acquire cryptocurrency is by receiving digital assets from other Wenia accounts using their mobile phone number, or from external wallets to their Wenia address. Once the digital assets are in the account, customers can convert them between the available cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ether, USDC, MATIC, and COPW). They can also send cryptocurrency to other Wenia accounts using their mobile phone number, or to external wallets. Finally, if customers wish to sell their digital assets, they must first convert them to COPW and then sell them for Colombian currency, which will be deposited into their Bancolombia accounts.
