A secondary market for crowdfunding investments, based on blockchain Qorus Banking Innovation Awards 2016

One of the problems of financial crowdfunding is lack of liquidity. Selling a security one holds is very difficult. How to find a counterparty that might be interested? Despite some technical solutions exist, these are often too expensive in comparison with the actual investment (typical a few 100 euros). With our blockchain based solution we aim to create a matchmaking platform where investors in a crowdfunding project can put their securities for sale. In our believe, the most susceptible buyers are, in order of probability: other investors in the project, other investors on the crowdfunding platform, investors on other platforms. With our Blockchain solution investors can put the stocks they hold for sale at the price they would like. Other members of the platform can see what's offered and decide to buy. In this way we create a matchmaking between sellers and buyers of illiquid crowdfunding securities.
