The SatFarm Intelligence project acts as an accurate forecasting & planning tool for the team by defining the health of the crop in a particular area based upon defined parameters using high end satellite data with machine learning algorithms and sensor data.
Innovation presentation
Following were the stage wise steps taken into account to build the entire architecture to cater to the Life cycle management of the Banks Rural portfolio:
- Identification of challenges in the Life Cycle Management of the Rural portfolio and strategies to overcome this via technological upliftments.
- Selection of an expert vendor having knowledge in crop strategy & farming management.
- The vendor provides a digital format of the crop growth cycle using Remote Sensing Technology (RST and delivers the intelligence via
o Historical satellite imagery
o Weather datasets, econometric and social datasets
o Near real time monitoring of crop growth cycle
- Scoping of overall SatFarm Intelligence Architecture. (Debt Service Management team collection model, Insights for Rural Portfolio management via better sourcing & policy recommendations.)
- Integration of these inputs with our business strategy & segregation of customers based on payment propensity to improve resolutions effectively.
- Utilisation of the output via technology integration within Bank’s application system and via mobile application and dashboards.
