About

When a space for listening and psychological support is provided, we can have the medium-term effect of improving the quality of these individuals

Innovation presentation

The Good with you Program, created in February 2020, is a communication channel in person and at a distance (via telephone) between the Psychology professional and the employee, with the general objective of guiding and giving the necessary referrals to cases of emotional discomfort, seeking to work on prevention and dissemination of knowledge about mental disorders or illnesses.

The Program has also been working with employees affected by the COVID-19 Coronavirus (suspects, contacts and confirmed) and their families, seeking to reduce the psychological impacts resulting from the current health emergency. In addition, we provide psychological support to employees who are on leave due to CID – 10 Chapter V - Mental and Behavioral Disorders. The mental health prevention program, De Bem com Você extrapolates what is recommended in the PGR - The Risk Management Program (PGR) when it contemplates the psychosocial risk factors related to work, while at the same time it corroborates the Regulatory Standard NR7 that determines that the organization of work must be adequate to the psychophysiological conditions of the workers and the nature of the work to be performed, minimizing cognitive risks.

During the entire period of the pandemic, the Program continues to assist employees in order to provide preventive support with regard to emotional health. Special attention is being given to employees who are in assisted telework/home office, especially due to the challenges inherent to this type of work activity.

More recently, due to the reduction in cases of COVID 19 and due to the advance in the immunization of the population, which has allowed the resumption of some activities and the return to face-to-face work, De Bem com Você is also seeking to provide assistance to employees who are in the process of returning to telework after a long period away, aiming at their adaptability and emotional balance.

Uniqueness of the project

It is pertinent to approach the subject of mental health in all environments such as school, family and corporate, aiming at creating spaces for discussion and care in order to improve people's quality of life. The production of mental health is crossed by information, that is, when we know a little about what mental health is and about the current scenario about mental disorders, we start to spread information that can help people and save lives.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that “loss of productivity resulting from depression and anxiety, two of the most common mental disorders, costs the global economy US$1 trillion a year. Fortunately, there is growing recognition that employee mental well-being has a positive impact on organizational success, as well as employee health, job fulfillment and quality of life.”

In total, it was estimated that poor mental health cost the world economy approximately $2.5 trillion a year with poor health and reduced productivity in 2010, a cost projected to increase to $6 trillion by 2030.

According to a study published in the journal Lancet Psychiatry, the total cost of treating anxiety and depression disorders in 36 countries worldwide is estimated at $147 billion by 2030. This cost will yield a net benefit, based on a estimated and modest 5% improvement in labor productivity resulting in an economic gain of $399 billion.

Encouragingly, employers who support mental health see a return of $4 for every dollar invested in mental health treatment, according to new research released May 13, 2021, from the National Safety Council and the NORC. from the University of Chicago. When employees receive effective treatment for mental distress, organizations realize reduced total medical costs, increased productivity, reduced absenteeism and reduced disability costs.

The Good with Yourself Program is part of strategies to improve the items of diagnosis, prevention and corporate treatment of mental and behavioral disorders at the Bank, with the objective of providing greater consistency in reducing absenteeism from these illnesses.

This action becomes a differential of the company since the service is directed to that employee, related managers and/or family members. The Program also offers the availability of topics on mental health in the form of discussion forums, podcasts or lives.

The proposal to create the Program is also innovative because it is a Program that informs about the different opportunities at the Bank in relation to changes that can minimize discomfort pointed out by the employee, such as: dissatisfaction with the position he occupies, sensitization of managers regarding greater attention to that employee who is emotionally disorganized, among others. It is important to emphasize the information confidentiality policy within the scope of the Program
