Innovation presentation

Banco Internacional's vision is focused on the long term, always seeking to contribute to the sustainable development of Ecuador in its different areas of action: Sustainable Finance Program: With the main objective of our clients transforming their production processes while being sustainable, the Sustainable Finance Program was created on our public website that provides relevant information and tools, thinking about the future of society, the environment and the economy. The website adds informative and on-going education content through free articles and webinars to learn everything about sustainability and its benefits. Moreover, we have tools that allow us to advise companies and people towards more sustainable processes, measuring their impact through the carbon footprint calculator and advising them through a network of suppliers who are experts in sustainability. Carbon Neutral: For the second consecutive year, Banco Internacional obtained the declaration of Carbon Neutrality at the national level with an emissions reduction of -8% compared to the previous year. It was endorsed by SGS, a leading company in verification and certification worldwide, who audited and ratified the actions taken by the bank to measure, reduce and offset its carbon footprint. This certification has international standards such as ISO 14064-1: 2018 and Carbon Neutral Protocol, which was certified in its first stage by the Ecuador Zero Carbon Program (PECC) of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition. In the second stage, we worked on a broad reduction plan that will allow emissions to be minimized until 2030. Finally, we compensated for our footprint, contributing to a project to conserve and improve the quality of our planet's water.
