Sharjah Islamic Bank is the first Islamic bank in the world to launch a mobile banking application that can be used by all customers including visually challenged customer. This innovation is embedded as part of a single app. The Vision: As part of our CEO vision to support UAE community and corporate social responsibility, the bank embarked on this journey to support UAE people of determination. The Challenge: Visually challenged customers requirement was to use existing customer mobile banking application for their day to day banking needs as they need to be treated as part of the community and not a separate community.
