NOTE: HITS is an innovation company fully owned by Generali BACKGROUND Generali focuses its strategy around being a Lifetime Partner (LTP) and being there at every life event. With this initiative we are an LTP at birth! PROBLEM - First-time parents are overwhelmed by the arrival of their new-born, and often do not understand the needs of their new-born, which leads to frustration, fatigue, in worse cases to shaken babies - State-of-the-art technologies cannot detect specific pathologies developed by new-borns SOLUTION - The cries of a baby between 0-6 months are universal - And AI loves universal patterns! - We would offer to young parents an AI device “BabyT” (i.e. or baby translator) that understands the 5 basic needs of new-borns (i.e. hungry, stomach pain, burp, wet nappies, sleepy) to assist them in the first months of parenthood - The voice algorithm of BabyT is delivered by the Swiss start-up Zoundream, an early-stage start-up with an impressive AI solution - The baby cry data has been collected by HITS (a Generali company) to enhance the AI algorithm. How? By recruiting young parents while leveraging Generali's network of family and friends in Italy and Switzerland, but also leveraging the social media network of HITS - To improve the AI, it is further trained to reach higher accuracy with other Generali countries such as Business Units in Germany, France, Spain, and Hong Kong
