"Smart Invest" - Investment Advice on you Mobile Device Qorus-Infosys Finacle Banking Innovation Awards 2024

While self-service stock-trading has been available for years via mobile apps, investment banking with the active help of an investment banker has hardly gone mobile yet. Bank customers who seek tips and professional advice from a human investment expert, still need to visit a branch or catch the investment banker over the phone. The bankers themselves can only reach few investors, this way.

Regulation prohibits the investment banker to communicate with clients via Whatsapp, SMS, or other Instant Messaging platforms. But no more of that - Discount Bank's exciting new mobile service (in-app) enables customers to get real-time personal or group investment advice from the investment banker, directly to their mobile phone. Not only that - the customer can execute the investment advice (even multiple commands) with a single push of a button, inside Discount's banking app.

The project was officially launched during August 2023, following a 12 month development framework, and a pilot stage.

The innovative service of human investment advice via push notifications to the customer's mobile phone, has many important advantages to both the bank and the customer, including enabling each investment banker to reach far many more customers than before, hence reaching also smaller investors which previously were overlooked. Alongside, the service enhances customer experience and improves the communication between the investor and his investment banker. Advice reaches the investor on-time, and execution of multiple commands can be done with a single push of a button in-app.

Mobile banking is now the preferred meeting place for investors and investment experts. This is a great and powerful innovation which the bank expects to enter mainstream banking and redefine common practice stock-trading standards, in the next few years.
