Automist is a next-generation, electronically controlled fire protection system that detects and targets fires at their source, activating faster and with significantly less water damage than traditional sprinklers. Designed for high-net-worth properties, Automist minimizes both fire and water-related losses, reducing loss ratios while ensuring seamless protection for valuable assets.
Unlike traditional fire sprinklers, which can flood a home and require bulky water tanks, Automist is highly water-efficient, delivering precise suppression with only 2.4 gallons per minute—less than a pot filler faucet. Easily retrofitted, it provides an effective alternative in high-risk or remote properties (e.g., Public Protection Classification Class 10 homes) where conventional systems are impractical.
For example, an insurer specified Automist for a $15 million Hawaiian island home. Due to its remote location and log construction, a traditional sprinkler system would have required a 1,500-gallon tank. With Automist, the need for excessive water storage was eliminated, providing a smarter, safer, and more practical fire protection solution.
