Our bank has developed an internal system enabling branch officials to assist customers in obtaining Form 16A—TDS certificates for non-salary income like fixed deposit interest. Officials can download these certificates from the bank’s portal and provide printed copies to customers, ensuring timely and accurate tax documentation.

Objectives: To simplify the process for customers to obtain necessary tax documents without visiting multiple locations, reduce the workload on customers, and streamline the process within the bank.

Reasons behind: This service enhances customer satisfaction by providing a convenient and efficient way to access tax documents, supports timely tax filing, and reinforces the bank's role as a trusted financial partner.

Departments Involved: The project involves collaboration between the IT Department, which developed and maintains the internal portal and the Operations Department, which ensures the smooth functioning of the process and provides necessary training to branch officials.

Main Results So Far: The initiative has led to increased customer satisfaction, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced compliance by providing customers with timely and accurate tax documentation.
