Faysal Bank’s Digibank App represents a ground-breaking evolution in digital banking, combining advanced technology with a deep commitment to customer-centricity and financial inclusion. The core concept was to completely redesign the digital banking experience to meet the dynamic needs of modern users while ensuring accessibility, simplicity, and security for all customer segments. The project was driven by a desire to overcome the limitations of traditional banking — fragmented customer journeys, outdated UI, limited accessibility, and dependency on physical branches. Our research-driven approach involved extensive customer-centric studies, including focus groups and persona development across age groups, abilities, and banking needs. Data collected from branches across Pakistan provided valuable insights that shaped the app’s development. In a highly competitive market dominated by global Fintech players, Faysal Digibank stands apart through its unique features and user-friendly experience. We introduced real-time capabilities such as biometric on boarding, enabling customers to open bank accounts entirely digitally without visiting a branch. We were also the first bank in Pakistan to partner with Google Pay, reflecting our forward-thinking approach to global digital payment ecosystems. Through Faysal Pay, our tokenization-based Tap-and-Pay technology, customers enjoy secure, contactless transactions, aligning with global trends in digital payments. The results speak for themselves: transaction volumes have surged from 4 to 7 Million monthly, daily registrations nearly doubled, digital penetration rose by 70%, and over 80% of transactions are now conducted digitally. Monthly active users increased from 55% to 65%, demonstrating high user engagement and satisfaction.
