Concept and Objectives: The Fairfirst Digital Shop was created to bring unmatched convenience and peace of mind to customers by making Motor Insurance truly digital. The goal was to create a seamless, documentless journey where anyone can purchase or renew their policy online and receive their e-card in as fast as five minutes.
Reasons Behind: Motor Insurance has always been a high-demand product, yet the buying process was slow and filled with paperwork. Customers wanted something easier, faster, and stress-free. We saw an opportunity to transform this experience by creating a fully digital process that delivers instant coverage, transparency, and control to customers.
State of Competition: Most insurers offer only online quote requests or partial digital functions. Fairfirst became the first in the industry to deliver a complete Motor Insurance purchase journey where everything happens online, from quote to payment to policy and e-card delivery, without a single document.
Sources of Inspiration: We were inspired by global insurtech platforms and modern e-commerce experiences that focus on simplicity, instant fulfillment, and customer ease.
Departments Involved: The Marketing and Digital Solutions Department led this project from concept to launch, working closely with IT, Underwriting, and Operations. The teamwork ensured smooth integration, compliance, and a best-in-class customer experience.
Main Results So Far: The Fairfirst Digital Shop has changed how customers purchase Motor Insurance in Sri Lanka. It has achieved strong digital GWP growth, higher satisfaction, and excellent conversion rates, becoming a benchmark for convenience-driven digital insurance.
