The IDA is an innovative solution that transforms document analysis into claims processes by combining advanced computer vision with generative artificial intelligence. It detects document tampering through pixel-level analysis, automatically extracts structured and unstructured information, and interprets content with high precision, providing intelligent summaries, severity classification, and insights that accelerate and enhance analysts’ decision-making.

Designed to reduce fraud-related losses, increase operational efficiency, and deliver faster and more consistent analyses, the IDA emerged from a real need to handle increasingly complex documents and increasingly sophisticated fraud attempts—scenarios in which manual methods no longer offer security or scalability.

While competing solutions—such as Lisa, the tool used in Chile—offer only basic extraction and validation, none deliver the unique combination offered by the IDA: precise alteration detection, deep semantic interpretation, and unified document analysis.

Inspired by the expertise of ZCAM—global reference in fraud detection and creator of FROPS (Fraud, Risk, Operational Performance Solution)—the IDA integrates more than 20 years of specialization to establish a new standard of intelligent automation. The project brings together claims teams from multiple countries, Zurich’s technical and architecture teams, and specialists from ZCAM, ensuring robustness, governance, and global scalability.

The results already demonstrate its impact: the IDA has reached 80% accuracy in detecting falsified documents and more than 95% accuracy in extraction and intelligent summarization, drastically reducing analysis time while increasing process security. This combination of efficiency, precision, anti-fraud capabilities, and real business application positions the IDA as a strategic, sustainable, and scalable innovation.
