Swiss Re and Wysa's new mental health app for insurance

Wysa Assure features an AI chatbot rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy principles, offering users on-demand support with evidence-based mental health resources. It prioritizes user anonymity and integrates self-management modules and insurers' support networks. This approach promotes proactive mental well-being management, potentially leading to savings for insurers.

Swiss Re Institute's 2022 consumer survey found insurers playing a growing role in enhancing customers' mental resilience. With Wysa Assure's incorporation of Swiss Re's risk-oriented scoring, users can monitor their mental health, while insurers gain valuable data for portfolio management.

The app's debut partner, MLC Life Insurance, offers it to its retail customers through the Vivo program in Australia. Features include stress-relief programs, therapeutic techniques, exercises, and a well-being score.

Wysa Assure is backed by research showing its effectiveness in reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and co-occurring physical health issues.
