Allianz Versicherungs-AG is reinforcing its commitment to advancing sustainable and green mobility in Germany through an extended partnership with Fleetpool, a prominent car subscription provider. The collaboration, initiated three years ago, has seen Allianz play a pivotal role in insuring Fleetpool vehicles since 2021. Now, with the signing of a long-term cooperation agreement, both entities are poised to intensify their efforts in the New Mobility space.
Under the new framework, Allianz becomes the exclusive insurer for all electric vehicles offered by Fleetpool on a subscription basis across various brands. This entails comprehensive coverage provided by Allianz Auto Insurance, safeguarding not only the vehicle but also the battery and charging accessories against all risks. Additionally, Allianz takes on a key role in insuring the remaining Fleetpool fleet.
The collaboration underscores Allianz's proactive stance in supporting the transition to sustainable mobility, offering tailored insurance solutions for electric vehicles. Fleetpool, a pioneer in car subscriptions and corporate mobility, operates the eazymobility platform, providing companies and employees with a convenient way to embrace sustainable and electric mobility.
Ulrich Stephan, Company Director at Allianz Versicherungs-AG, emphasized that the current cooperation builds on the success of past joint projects, setting the stage for a new foundation in their collaboration. The partnership allows Allianz customers exclusive access to Fleetpool's car subscription models under attractive conditions, marking a strategic move to tap into evolving mobility trends.
Fleetpool's car subscription model, eazymobility, offers a flexible and sustainable approach to mobility, allowing users to enjoy a fixed all-inclusive rate for a vehicle with terms starting from six months. The end of the term enables a hassle-free switch to a new type of drive, facilitating a longer-term test of electric cars.
This expanded partnership aligns with Allianz's broader strategy to actively contribute to the shift towards green mobility and underscores its role as a key player in shaping the future of sustainable transportation solutions in Germany.
