Virgin Money and UK anti-poverty charity Turn2us have expanded their partnership by introducing a new grants search tool to help more people access financial support. The tool, available on the Virgin Money website, offers a database of around 1,400 grants and support schemes, aiding individuals in determining their eligibility for assistance from charitable organizations.
The grants provided through the tool do not impact welfare benefits and require no repayment. Finding and accessing these grants can be challenging, but the user-friendly tool simplifies the process. By following a few steps, users can assess their eligibility based on personal or family circumstances.
Recent data reveals that Virgin Money and Turn2us have assisted around 50,000 individuals in checking eligibility for welfare benefits and tax credits. Over the past two years, the partnership, which initially provided access to the charity's benefits calculator on the Virgin Money website, identified over £4.5 million in eligible benefits support.
James Peirson, General Counsel and Purpose Officer at Virgin Money, emphasizes the importance of supporting households facing financial strain, encouraging individuals to take a few minutes to explore potential help.
Christelle Tambi, Product Owner of the Grants Search tool at Turn2us, expresses gratitude to Virgin Money for embedding the tool, making it easier for people to access support from hundreds of UK charities. The quick and user-friendly tool ensures that more individuals can swiftly access the financial assistance they need.
