SydeLabs, a startup specializing in AI security and risk management, has announced a $2.5 million seed funding round to bolster its efforts in safeguarding Generative AI systems for enterprises.
The funding, led by RTP Global and joined by Picus Capital and notable angel investors, will enable SydeLabs to further develop its suite of solutions tailored for enterprise applications of Generative AI. Founded by cybersecurity expert Ruchir Patwa and product leadership veteran Ankita Kumari, SydeLabs aims to make AI applications safe, secure, and resistant to abuse.
Patwa and Kumari recognize the growing concerns surrounding Generative AI's security and safety risks. They emphasize the need for proactive measures to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, particularly as these systems introduce new attack surfaces and compliance challenges for enterprises.
SydeLabs' platform offers real-time detection and prevention of security vulnerabilities in AI systems throughout their development lifecycle. By prioritizing attackers' intent over traditional pattern-matching approaches, the company aims to stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats in the AI space.
CEO Ruchir Patwa envisions SydeLabs setting new standards for secure and groundbreaking AI applications. He believes that their platform will not only enhance enterprise productivity but also mitigate the costs associated with security and compliance threats.
Galina Chifina, Partner on RTP Global's Asia Investment team, commends SydeLabs' forward-thinking approach to AI security. She expresses excitement about the company's potential to make a significant impact in the field and reaffirms RTP Global's support for innovative technologies aligned with SydeLabs' vision.
