Fintech Friday: Botanalytics
Based in San Francisco’s Silicon Valley, Botanalytics offers conversational analytics tools to improve human-chatbot interactions. The firm was created by two tech wizards: the ex-Google analytics expert İlker Köksal and Enis Gayretli, who has a Master’s degree in machine learning.
“When we started Botanalytics we just combined our experience,” said Köksal. “At that time, conversational artificial intelligence (AI) was still in its infancy and we managed to develop good knowledge of the market.”
The firm has maintained its presence since the early days of conversational AI, but it has recently started to grow rapidly.
“The firm has now raised US$1.5 million from investors and Gayretli and I were selected for Forbes’ 30Under30 enterprise technology list in 2018,” said Köksal. “This was such an achievement for us.”
Botanalytics provides its clients with real-time in-depth conversational metrics at scale.
“Botanalytics helps you find the causes of any bottlenecking, enables you to track your intentions and also helps you set up conversational goals to iterate the flow of conversation in the most realistic way,” he said. “We currently have over 15,000 virtual assistants that have been involved in the platform, including Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram. We also offer on-premises solutions for larger companies and enterprises.”
Despite their clear success, Gayretli and Köksal have even higher hopes for the company’s future.
“Our main aim is for Botanalytics to become the main analytics platform for conversational AI for organisations across all industries. In addition, we want to be able to provide smaller bot creators with valuable insights,” said Köksal. “With this in mind, we are adding to our two existing offices in San Francisco and Istanbul, with new premises opening in London and Singapore.”
