1. Concept and Objectives Medialia DKV is a program created by DKV Seguros to promote sustainability aspects within the insurance mediation sector. It targets agents and brokers, encouraging their involvement in activities that contribute to environmental, social and governance practises. The program operates through three annual challenges, in which mediators can participate and earn points that later translate into donations to NGOs. Those who complete multiple actions gain an official accreditation recognizing their commitment. Its main objectives include: Enabling the mediation network to participate in activities that contribute to environmental, social and governance practises. Promote sustainability aspects within the insurance sector Providing training on sustainability topics, including the SDGs, ESG principles or stakeholder engagement. 2. Reasons Behind the Initiative Medialia DKV was created in response to: The need to include sustainability aspects within insurance mediation. The desire to empower the commercial network to become an active agent. A strategic aim to strengthen trust and reputation among the company, its mediators, and its customers. The initiative also helps: Reinforce a sense of belonging within teams. Align the distribution channel with DKV’s corporate purpose. 3. State of Competition FECOR recognized DKV as the “company that most helps brokers become sustainable”, awarding them the Green Broker Prize twice, largely due to the work of the Medialia program. This positions Medialia DKV as a market leader, thanks to its integrated approach that links environmental and social actions with commercial activity and mediator training. 4. Sources of Inspiration The program draws inspiration from: The increasing integration of ESG criteria across industries. The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Medialia provides SDG-focused training to mediators. Business models built around triple impact (economic, social, environmental). 5. Departments Involved Although Medialia is aimed at the mediation network, its coordination involves several DKV departments: Sustainability Department, which leads the program (headed by Silvia Agulló). Commercial Department, which mobilizes agents and brokers. Communications, which supports campaigns, challenges, and educational materials. Main Results So Far Medialia DKV has achieved impact: Social and Economic Impact Over €100,000 donated to NGOs across 15 years. In 2025 alone, €25.900 donated, with more than 9,000 votes cast in the social challenge. Environmental Activities: Activities driven by the mediators such as plogging and environmental clean‑ups.
